VENTURA, Calif. – The Ventura County Healthcare Agency's Diabetes Clinic has won the 2015 Quality Leaders Award from the California Association of Public Hospitals and the California Healthcare Safety Net Institute. The award was presented in the category of "Advanced Primary Care" for the clinic's entry, "Innovative Diabetes Care with Group Medical Visits."
According to the two organizations, the clinic's application stood apart because the program addresses a significant health care challenge and meaningfully impacts patients' experience and quality of care.
The Diabetes Clinic is under the direction of Dr. Theresa Cho. She and her team work tirelessly to improve the lives of their patients, and the award demonstrates the high standards of care they provide.
The award will be presented at the CAPH/SNI Annual Conference in December 2015.
The Health Care Agency's hospitals, affiliated clinics and Public Health and Behavioral Health departments all strive to set and meet high standards in professional health care.
