SIMI VALLEY, Calif. – The Ventura County Human Services Agency office located at 2003 Royal Avenue in Simi Valley will be relocated to 2900 Madera Road in Simi Valley on Monday, April 18th.
This relocation affects approximately 80 Human Services Agency staff who assist clients with applications and ongoing support for income-based programs including: Medi-Cal (health insurance); CalFresh (food benefits); CalWORKs (assistance for families with children); and General Relief (assistance for adults without dependents).
Members of the public who have applied for assistance or met with case workers at 2003 Royal Avenue may continue to receive help at 2900 Madera Road on Monday, with no break in service. Staff’s telephone numbers will remain the same.
Importantly, clients participating in public assistance programs may also access job seeker services, career workshops, Veteran services, and limited State Employment Development Department (EDD) services at 2900 Madera Road effective Monday. Barry L. Zimmerman, Director of the Ventura County Human Services Agency, stated, “The relocation of assistance programs to 2900 Madera where employment-related services are already housed will help Simi Valley residents access a broad array of helpful services under one roof.”
Simi Valley Transit Route B has been extended to 2900 Madera Road to help ensure ease of access for the public. As an alternative to visiting the office, applicants and clients may access many human services online or by telephone, on any day at any hour.
Local residents seeking Medi-Cal, CalWORKs or CalFresh services may check their eligibility for these programs and apply online at www.vchsa.org. Clients currently participating in these programs may check their case information by visiting www.vchsa.org or calling 1-888-HSA-4-INFO (1-888-472-4463).
