Official Final Results and Certification announced for the June 7, 2016 Presidential Primary Election

VENTURA, Calif. – Ventura County Clerk Recorder/Registrar of Voters Mark Lunn has announced the official final election results for the June 7, 2016 Presidential Primary Election with 100 percent of precincts reporting.

A total of 213,914 ballots were cast in this election. A total of 62.77 percent of the ballots were cast by mail and 37.23 percent were cast at the 360 polling places located throughout Ventura County. Final results for this election revealed a 51.79 percent voter turnout.

During the post-election canvass period, the Elections Division released semi-official result updates twice weekly. California Law allows 30 days (July 7, 2016) after Election Day for the County Registrar of Voters to certify election results. This election was certified in 24 days, six days prior to the State deadline.
