“We know there are significant challenges in our future, especially with regards to water supplies and the preservation of our agricultural lands,” said County Planning Director Kim Prillhart. “We’ve asked the public to share their questions, comments and concerns with us so that the issues that are most important to our residents are addressed in the General Plan update process. This document will be our guide for the foreseeable future so it’s critically important that it be responsive and comprehensive to the needs of the county and its residents.”
Some of the issues the General Plan and the update process include are: Water; community health; agriculture; land use; transportation; and air quality. When complete, the updated plan will help balance the growth and economy of the county, ensure public safety, manage natural resources and build healthy communities.
