Ventura, Calif. - As a service to the community, the County Human Services Agency launched an online Community Events and Resources page which highlights workshops and resources offered by public and nonprofit agencies that may be of benefit to agency clients, staff, partner agencies and community members countywide. The site features seminars and services related to health, social and economic wellbeing and includes offerings from resource fairs and health screenings to career education and landscaping for wildfire workshops. Events listed are free of charge and open to the community.
The site also highlights key community resources that may be useful for Human Services Agency clients and partners, as well as community members in general. These are grouped by category including basic needs, support for seniors, opportunities for youth and support for parents and families, among others. It is not intended to be a comprehensive resource guide, which 2-1-1 Ventura County expertly continues to provide for Ventura County (in addition to other counties) through Interface Children Family Services.
Ventura County is fortunate to be home to a plethora of nonprofit agencies offering a rich array of happenings and services geared toward increasing the capacities, health, economic stability and wellness of its community members. Community, educational and other nonprofit agencies are welcome to submit events and resources for consideration provided they are free and meet the broad guidelines indicated on the site.
