OXNARD, Calif. – The Ventura County Human Services Agency office located at 635 S. Ventura Road in Oxnard for nearly two decades will be temporarily relocated to 1400 Vanguard Drive in Oxnard on Monday, January 11, 2016.
This temporary relocation affects the America's Job Center resource room (formerly the West Oxnard Job & Career Center), and approximately 70 Human Services Agency staff and partners who serve CalWORKs customers, Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) customers, and other job seekers. Members of the public who have visited the resource room at 635 S. Ventura Road to conduct job searches may continue to conduct these activities at 1400 Vanguard Drive on Monday with no break in service.
CalWORKs and WIOA customers who have received assistance from Human Services Agency case managers in west Oxnard may reach their case managers at 1400 Vanguard Drive, the same office where local residents apply for Medi-Cal, CalFresh (formerly Food Stamps), and CalWORKs benefits. CalWORKs and WIOA case managers' phone numbers will remain the same.
"We're working to ensure that customers and the general public have full access to our services during this temporary relocation," said Barry L. Zimmerman, Director of the Ventura County Human Services Agency.
In late Spring 2016, the resource room and customer services that were temporarily relocated to 1400 Vanguard Drive will be permanently relocated to 2901 Ventura Road in Oxnard. The office at 1400 Vanguard Drive will continue to provide a host of other services including eligibility determination for assistance programs and child welfare services. The permanent relocation of employment-related services to 2901 Ventura Road in late Spring 2016 will enable the Human Services Agency to bring together staff, partners and job seekers in a highly professional environment that promotes team work, productivity and quality service to customers.
